Rio Myers is enjoying a triple celebration this week.
Not only has she passed her driving test (first time!), she’s also passed her Customer Service exams, and secured a permanent role with CDI Group as a project support assistant.
Rio joined the company in August 2016 as a Customer Service apprentice. Most of her duties were in data-management, contacting new customers and ensuring all their information was up to date on the CDI system. After a few months, she realised that she would much rather get involved in supporting projects, and she switched over to become Project Support Assistant (Apprentice) in May 2017.
Now Rio is Project Support Assistant, full time. She supports three project managers, Jim Clarke, Ben Hunt and Craig Mobbs, and she says she loves it!
“Now, every day is different, there’s no such thing as a typical day. I am involved in admin, invoices and whatever it takes to ensure projects run smoothly.
“I have had lots of training and that means I am qualified to run desk-based support for a key client. I deal with all their paperwork, telephone support and I assign engineers to their jobs. I just love it here”
Paul Bevington, Group Operations Director said: “Rio is now in a far more challenging role than her apprenticeship initially allowed for. As CDI is a growing company, it was the perfect opportunity for her to join our support team. She’s taken to the role quickly and is a delight to work with. Everyone comments on her cheerfulness and how driven she is to get a job completed to the highest standard”.
