CDI Group have been selected by the Trust for a 3 year Cabling Contract to maintain the structured cabling network and the installation of additional copper and fibre cabling and associated small power across the Trust Sites as demand requires.

The Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust is an Acute Trust, which also provides technical infrastructure and support to Primary Care & Mental Health Trusts. The Trust headquarters is situated at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) in Winchester. The Trust has 23 sites across Hampshire, including Andover War Memorial Hospital (AWMH) and Eastleigh Health Centre (EHC), all of which are connected to the Trusts Wide Area Networks.

One of the main obstacles is not only the number of sites covered by the trust, but that the Trust’s buildings consist of a wide range of building architecture ranging from old Victorian architecture, temporary wooden units to modern buildings.

The Trust employs the latest fibre cabling for its infrastructure networks utilising multimode cross site fibre cables for all its edge switches and a combination of single-mode and multi-mode fibres for connecting its core switches together. The Trust currently has over 3500 network outlets that link its servers, PCs, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and other network devices together to form the network infrastructure for the Trust.

To ensure CDI are providing the Trust with the best possible service we are constantly monitored by Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) these have been agreed in support of the Service Specification and shall be monitored and reviewed quarterly during the period of the Contract.

The KPI’s we are monitored against are: Number of installations completed in contractual time, the number of defect calls per month and repeat calls to installations, response to call outs within contractual/agreed time, timely conclusion to items of concern/complaints, the number of invoice queries and the reporting on the progress of works.
